Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts
The Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation is proud to partner with the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts to bring educational, artistic and inspirational programs to the National Park Service’s first and foremost park for the performing arts. Wolf Trap Farm, located in Northern Virginia, provides world class programs and events to well over 550,000 visitors every year.
For 2006, The Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation has awarded a major grant to the Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts in support of Baby ARTSPLAY!, an integrated arts program for infants, toddlers, and their parents and/or caregivers. Through a variety of ingeniously structured activities geared to their constantly evolving abilities and cognitive capacities, Baby ARTSPLAY! provides children from six months to three years old with a unique, holistic learning experience through the medium of the performing arts. It’s an unprecedented music, drama, and movement program – one which engages not only the fertile imaginations of children, but the creative energies of their parents and caregivers as well.
As the well-documented “Mozart Effect” has proven, it’s never too early for children to benefit from exposure to the arts. Consequently, The Catherine B. Reynolds Foundation is proud to support Baby ARTSPLAY!, which will employ all facets of the performing arts to nurture the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development of children once considered “too young” to appreciate them.
